Description
Ljubljana Pride Association is looking for a LGBTIQ+ volunteering ambassador!
Your tasks will primarily include supporting:
- implementation of the LGBTIQ+ volunteering program activities;
- organisation of work of ESC team activity volunteers (preparing schedules and tasks for volunteers, ensuring hands-on support during the volunteering tasks, supporting the creation of good group dynamics, planning mentoring process, organising logisticc, etc.);
- implementation of the Ljubljana Pride Festival 2027;
- day-to-day office work, which entails the promotion of volunteering opportunities, official correspondence, the organisation of events, carrying out workshops, as well as logistical and administrative support;
- other supporting tasks as agreed with the work coordinator.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The project includes fully funded travel, insurance, accommodation, as well as food expenses and pocket money.
Accommodation is organised in the flat shared among 5 young (LGBTIQ+) people, mostly ESC volunteers.
Travel is covered fully: either you can purchase it yourself as agreed and get it reimbursed, or we buy it directly (in agreement with you of course).
Food expenses and pocket money are in regulation with the ESC programme regulations and are paid every month in the beginning (by 5th).
Training during the activity
You will have opportunities to join the workshops, capacity building meetings and similar activities, together with the rest of the team.
You will be supported by the working coordinator. Upon your arrival, for the first few weeks, your working coordinator will work closely with you to support you, afterwards you will agree on a regular meet-ups (once a week).
On a monthly basis you will meet with a personal support mentor and a learning mentor.
Participant profile
We are looking for someone who:
- is a (LGBTIQ+) young person and/or a young person facing intersectional discrimination, aged 18-30,
- is a resident of an EU country,
- has a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations, topics, and politics,
- has previous work or volunteer experience in organising LGBTIQ+ events,
- is responsible, proactive, and takes initiative,
- is comfortable working in an office environment with a regular office routine (7-8h/day),
- is also available to occasionally work in the field, including evenings and weekends,
- is communicative, outgoing, and enthusiastic about working with LGBTIQ+ youth and peers,
- can communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
