TTT - Tierra, Techo, Trabajo, a non-profit organisation in Agrigento, Sicily, is offering an Erasmus+ traineeship as a Social Promotion Intern at its social library "Biblioteca Sociale Villaseta," a social and cultural space dedicated to civic engagement, education and community building. This is a placement of at least 4 months (35 hours per week). The application deadline is 31 August 2026.


About the Placement

This internship takes place in an environment where learning, inclusion, social interaction and civic engagement are at the core of all activities. Interns contribute to initiatives that promote cultural exchange, active participation and community development at the Biblioteca Sociale Villaseta.

Your Main Activities

๐Ÿค Engage with local residents to assess community needs, build trust and promote inclusivity.

๐ŸŽจ Plan and deliver inclusive activities that encourage cultural exchange, education and social interaction across all age groups.

๐ŸŽ‰ Organise and coordinate events by managing logistics, ensuring smooth execution and supporting participant well-being.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Design and teach beginner-level English lessons using accessible, interactive methods that build confidence.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Promote activities through creative outreach strategies, including social media and documentation of outcomes.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Facilitate dialogue and interactions that strengthen relationships and foster mutual understanding within the community.

The Profile They're Looking For

The placement suits students or recent graduates interested in social promotion, education, community work and international cooperation, with a strong interest in civic engagement and inclusive practices, motivation to work with diverse groups (especially children and teenagers) and a positive, open-minded and proactive attitude. Relevant fields of study include social sciences and sociology, education and pedagogy, communication and media studies, and international relations and development studies. You must be fluent in English (Italian, French or Spanish is a plus).

Requirements and Practical Details
