How can historical awareness help prevent extremism, radicalisation, hate speech, and discrimination today? Echoes of Truth is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that brings together young people from Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, and Türkiye in the Tatra Mountains to explore exactly that question through non-formal education, storytelling, and honest dialogue.
The project focuses on young people, especially those from rural areas, NEET groups, and communities with fewer opportunities. Through workshops, discussions, simulations, storytelling activities, media analysis, peer-to-peer learning, and reflection sessions, participants learn about Nazism, war conflicts, propaganda, manipulation, and the long-term impact of hateful ideologies on individuals, communities, and Europe.
🌍 About the Project
Echoes of Truth promotes peace, human dignity, solidarity, European values, and youth participation. Throughout the exchange, participants develop critical thinking, media literacy, empathy, intercultural understanding, and practical tools for standing against hate speech in their own communities.

👥 Who Can Participate?
The exchange is for people aged 18 to 30 who are motivated to learn from history, meet people from different countries, and take part in an international learning experience focused on peace, tolerance, and active citizenship. What matters most is motivation, openness, respect for others, and willingness to actively participate in the full programme.

🏛️ Coordinator and Partners
The Coronat Foundation is a non-governmental organisation based in Warsaw, Poland. Its mission is to support young people, especially those from marginalised groups and with fewer opportunities, through local and international activities that promote equal opportunities, active citizenship, personal development, and social inclusion. 📆 Dates
Arrival day is 1 September 2026, project activities run from 2 to 8 September, and the departure day is 9 September 2026, travel days included.
🏔️ Venue
The mobility takes place in Murzasichle, a picturesque mountain village in southern Poland, near Zakopane and the Tatra National Park. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, it offers a peaceful and inspiring setting for creative work, teamwork, and learning, combining traditional highland culture with modern infrastructure. It can be easily reached by minibus from Zakopane in around 20 minutes, and the nearest airports are Kraków, Rzeszów, and Katowice.
🛏️ Accommodation
Participants are hosted at Dom Wczasowy Pod Reglami, in 2 to 4 person rooms with private bathrooms, in the centre of Murzasichle.
🏊 Facilities include free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, a ping-pong room, a fireplace lounge, and a dining room with homemade meals
🏪 Just 30 metres away there is a Żabka convenience store (open 6:00–23:00), a pharmacy, and a bus stop with a direct connection to Zakopane
🧘 A separate building is available for workshops and evening activities, keeping the main accommodation calm and comfortable
💶 Travel and Reimbursement
Participation is free of charge for selected participants: all travel, accommodation, and meals at the hotel are fully covered by the project coordinator. Any additional personal expenses, such as souvenirs or extra purchases, are covered by participants themselves.
🎫 If contacted by the coordinator, you have been pre-selected and will be asked to present the most cost- and time-efficient travel route as screenshots
✅ Once your travel plan is approved, you receive confirmation to buy the tickets, then send payment confirmation screenshots and join the project WhatsApp group
⚠️ Do not purchase tickets without the coordinator's clear approval, as any travel booked outside the approved procedure will not be reimbursed
💳 After approval and submission of all required documents, reimbursement follows Erasmus+ rates by bank transfer in EUR, within up to 6 months after the mobility (usually 1 to 3 months)
🎒 What to Bring
🪪 A valid passport or travel document, and your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or private travel insurance
🎫 As many printed travel tickets and confirmations as possible (boarding passes), essential for reimbursement
👕 Comfortable everyday clothes, sportswear, a swimsuit, warm and waterproof clothing, and a flip-flop pair
💊 Medicines, toiletries, and personal hygiene products
💻 A laptop (if you have one) and a smartphone, useful during workshops, plus a reusable water bottle
🎏 For the intercultural evenings: traditional snacks from your region, a national flag, and small souvenirs or cultural items to share
📜 Learning, Certificate and Youthpass
Participants receive a certificate recognising what they gained from the experience, focusing on learning outcomes and personal development. As part of the project deliverables, photos and videos document the activities; participants who wish to be excluded from documentation can inform the organisers at the start. Participants also provide anonymous feedback before, during, and after the exchange to help evaluate and improve the project's tools and methods, and receive Youthpass recognition.
