Burnout, empathy fatigue, no work-life balance? For one week, swap the endless shifts for nature, new friends, and, for once, caring for you. "Caring for those who care" is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in green Galicia, bringing together young health and care professionals and students to learn, share, and recharge in the forests and hills of northern Spain.

About the Project

"Caring for those who care" is a Youth Exchange by Association On My Way, bringing 25 young people from Spain, Portugal, Romania, Lithuania, and Estonia together for a week of learning, sharing, and growing in Galicia.

Long shifts, emotional weight, responsibility, empathy fatigue, stress, burnout, no work-life balance... sound familiar? You are not alone in it. For one week, through games, workshops, real talk, outdoor adventures, and intercultural nights, participants dig into wellbeing, resilience, and looking after themselves as people who spend their lives caring for others.

Who Can Apply

Young people aged 18 to 30 who are:

๐Ÿฉบ Working in healthcare or social care, aged care, disability, or community support

๐ŸŽ“ Studying nursing, medicine, psychology, physiotherapy, social work, or similar

๐Ÿค Training for or working in a care-related profession that involves supporting people directly, such as nurses, doctors, physios, psychologists, social and aged-care workers, support workers, caregivers, and sports coaches

You do not need to be an expert; if these topics speak to you and you are up for sharing, learning, and connecting with others in the same situation, they would love to meet you. Please note that a general interest in wellbeing is not enough, as the activities are built specifically for these professionals, so applicants from outside these fields are not eligible. This exchange welcomes five participants each from ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Spain, ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น Portugal, ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด Romania, ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡น Lithuania, and ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ช Estonia.
