About the Organisation

The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies is a Brussels-based think tank connected to the Christian Democrat, Conservative, and like-minded political parties of the EPP family. It conducts research and organises events on European affairs, and its Communications Team works to build and expand the Centre's external image and outreach.

Your Role

As a Communications intern, you will assist the Communications Team with the following tasks:

๐Ÿ“ฃ Assist in developing communications campaigns related to the Martens Centre's research and events

๐Ÿ’ก Work with the team to come up with fresh, innovative ideas for both the formats and contents of these campaigns

๐Ÿ“Š Assist in monitoring the traditional and social media impact of the Centre and identify strategies for growing target audiences

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Help maintain and expand the Centre's database of contacts, including identifying new, relevant stakeholders

๐Ÿ“š Take part in the research projects of the Communications Team, including literature reviews, editing, and related tasks

๐ŸŽช Assist in the organisation of events and conferences

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Execute any other organisational and administrative tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements

๐ŸŽ“ A university degree in Communications and PR, political science, social science, journalism, or a related discipline

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Good knowledge of European and international politics, as well as familiarity with the history and tradition of the Christian Democrat, Conservative, and like-minded political parties of the EPP family

๐Ÿ’ก A creative, innovative, enthusiastic, out-of-the-box thinker eager to establish and improve the external image and outreach of the Centre

๐Ÿ“ฑ Savviness and a keen interest in social media tools and platforms

๐Ÿค A team player able to follow internal and external workflows with precise deadlines

โœ๏ธ Proven communications, promotion, copywriting, and advertising skills are a strong asset

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Fluency in English, with proven writing skills; knowledge of additional languages is welcome

Who Can Apply

The position is open to all young graduates with an academic background in European affairs and related fields, holding a university degree, fluent in English, fully computer and internet literate, and with good knowledge of European politics. Additional educational qualifications, experience in policy research, and adequate knowledge of one or two more languages are considered assets.
