🇪🇺 Youth Project Contest for the Alpine Region 🏔️ Pitch Your Idea for a Sustainable Future with EUSALP 💡 (Win up to €5,000)

If you live in the Alps and have an idea to make your region more sustainable, modern, and future-ready, here is your chance to turn it into reality. The EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) invites young people to pitch their projects, present on an international stage, and win prize money plus expert mentorship to bring their ideas to life.

About the Contest

"Pitch Your Project" is a competition for young people in the Alpine Region, run under the motto "shaping.future.together" by the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP). As experts of your own living space, you are invited to submit project ideas for a sustainable development of the Alpine Region, either individually or as a group. EUSALP is looking for ideas that make the Alpine Region fit for the future.

Pitch Your Project 2026 is financed and organised by the 4SupportEUSALP project and Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

The Topics

The aim of the contest is to reward projects ready for implementation that deal with one of the following four topics:

🏞️ Sustainable tourism

💻 Digitalisation

🌿 Preservation of natural sites

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Youth involvement

How It Works

A jury will select the top 5 projects from all submissions, based on the criteria of relevance, feasibility, and innovation potential. The five selected applicants or groups will have the opportunity to present their project, in English, in a five-minute pitch during the EUSALP Annual Forum of the Bavarian Presidency 2026 in Lindau on 21 and 22 October 2026.

🎤 Finalists receive support in preparing their pitch and learn how to create a short, appealing, and informative presentation

🗳️ The audience then votes directly on the five projects

🧑‍🏫 The winners are mentored by experts involved in EUSALP, who help them implement their project ideas

Prizes

The three best projects receive prize money from Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for the further implementation of their projects:

🥇 1st prize: €5,000

🥈 2nd prize: €3,000

🥉 3rd prize: €2,000

In addition, the winners will be mentored by EUSALP experts to help them put their ideas into practice.

Eligibility

🎂 You need to be between 16 and 29 years old

🏔️ You need to be a citizen of one of the 7 Alpine countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, or Switzerland), or have your residence in one of these countries

👥 You can apply individually or in a group
