Das LOT is looking for an Erasmus+ intern to accompany the creative director and core team during an intensive production period in the second half of 2026 — a chance to see exactly how an independent cultural space operates, from curating and programming to technical production, communication and late-night event management.

About Das LOT

A self-organized contemporary art and cultural space in Vienna working between art, technology, performance, music and collective practices. They host exhibitions, workshops, club nights, festivals, screenings, performances and experimental formats connecting contemporary arts with digital culture and new media.

🎪 The production of a full festival edition of FAVORITE FALL

🕶️ The development of the [AR]TWALK Triple, together with The Artificial Museum

Your Role

🎬 Assistant Directing for the [AR]TWALK Triple

🎪 Assistant Production for the festival FAVORITE FALL

🎨 Assistant Curating for TECHNOLOT

Additional Tasks

📚 Helping maintain internal manuals/documentation systems (wiki)

🗣️ Assisting with communication and coordination

🛠️ Supporting artists and technicians during setup

🌙 Taking at least one event shift per week

Skills & Interests

They're especially looking for people from: production, arts & cultural management, media art, curating, digital culture and hands-on technical fields.

Helpful Skills

🗂️ Experience with production management tools (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Excel, task managers, Gantt charts, scheduling systems)

🗣️ Good communication and organisational skills (basic German is helpful but not required)

💪 A hands-on mentality and willingness to support physical setup work

🔌 Basic understanding of event infrastructure (light, sound, projection, video/audio connections, stage setup)

🤖 Interest in or basic knowledge of augmented reality, AI tools, digital art and new media practices

🧘 Ability to stay calm and organised during intense production phases

🤝 Interest in collaborative and transdisciplinary cultural work

Accommodation

🏠 They can't provide accommodation directly, but are happy to ask around within their network and support interns in finding housing options in Vienna.

The Details

📍 Location: Vienna, Austria

🗓️ Period: Flexible around mid-August to mid-December 2026 (longer stays very welcome)

⏳ Duration: Minimum 4 months

🕒 Commitment: Approx. 25–30 hours per week

💶 Payment: Erasmus+ grant required (no additional financial compensation)
