Country Language School is seeking English Teacher interns for the 2026–2027 school year — a unique chance to work with students of different ages, levels and class sizes, from children to adults, companies and public schools, guided by a mentor who provides training and ongoing support all year.
About Country Language School
Country Language School is a private language school founded in Cusago, a small village near Milan, in 2002, with a second school in Sesto San Giovanni since 2015. Since 2013 it has also run Summer Camps Sport & English in Milan and at mountain and seaside locations in Italy and abroad. Its students range from children aged 3 (many attending primary, secondary and high school) to adults, companies, and kindergarten, primary and secondary schools across Milan, Monza and the nearby areas. The school places a strong focus on conversation, listening and vocabulary, with at least half of every lesson devoted to speaking.
What You'll Do
🍎 Teaching customised, engaging and interactive English lessons to students of all ages — from children aged 3 to adults and companies
🗣️ Devoting at least 50% of each lesson to conversation, listening and speaking
🎨 Creating tailor-made materials — videos, presentations, games, role-plays and craftwork — to suit each student's needs
👩🏫 Teaching one-to-one, in small groups (5–6 children) and in larger kindergarten, primary and secondary school classes, both face-to-face and online
📝 Filling in a monthly register of your lessons and writing an end-of-course report for each student
🎓 Preparing students across the Cambridge framework (YLE Starters/Movers/Flyers, KET, PET, FCE and beyond)
How the Year Works
The first days are dedicated to training, with sessions in September before lessons begin. From October to May you'll work as an English teacher, and from January you'll also teach in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Milan, Monza and the nearby areas (the "Progetto madrelingua inglese"). From mid-June to mid-July you'll teach at the school's residential summer camps in Italy and abroad — with food, accommodation and travel provided. Throughout the year you'll have one supervisor (the Director of Studies) and a mentor who helps you plan lessons, with weekly meetings in the first month and monthly meetings after that. You'll receive five lesson plans per level, and by the end of the year you'll be a fully qualified teacher.
Hours & Pay
🕒 Work is on an 'as required' basis — there's no fixed or guaranteed minimum, but no more than 30 hours/week over 5 days, with two days off (Sunday and one other)
💶 A monthly wage of €850
🎁 A €150 monthly bonus granted at the end, only if the internship is completed in full without interruption
🔁 If you're given fewer hours, your net monthly wage will be €1,000
🗓️ Your wage isn't reduced when the school is closed for holidays (Christmas, Easter etc.)
Accommodation
Milan can be expensive, so they suggest looking in Abbiategrasso, which is cheaper — you can reach Cusago by the Z551 bus and Milan by train — or any area near the MM1 Bisceglie metro. They're happy to help you choose the right area.

🎓 Enthusiastic, reliable and motivated recent graduates (Education, Languages, Linguistics)
❤️ A strong interest in teaching, ideally with some previous experience, particularly with young learners
🌱 Flexibility, curiosity and a strong willingness to learn within a dynamic team
🗣️ English proficiency (Italian and a second language are highly appreciated but not required)
🏫 Experience in a language school is appreciated but not required
🎯 Knowledge of the Cambridge examinations is appreciated but not required
