The Motion Picture Association (MPA) EMEA communications department is offering a full-time, six-month paid internship at its Brussels office. You'll support the MPA's content protection communications, with a particular focus on anti-piracy initiatives and strategic communications around the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the world's leading antipiracy coalition โ a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in global anti-piracy communications and the protection of creative content in the entertainment industry.
Teamwork & Collaboration
You'll work closely with MPA communications and content protection colleagues across Europe, the United States, Latin America and Asia-Pacific to support global anti-piracy initiatives. That means actively participating in internal coordination meetings related to ACE, and maintaining continuity across international teams by tracking developments, documenting actions, sharing updates and highlighting emerging issues.
What You'll Do
๐ค Collaborate with global ACE teams and communications colleagues across regions to gather information and develop content that promotes the MPA's and ACE's content protection work
๐ฐ Assist in drafting press releases, newsletter content and other communications materials for ACE and broader content protection initiatives
๐ Support the press release pipeline and help track communications performance and engagement metrics using tools like Google Analytics
โ๏ธ Help produce and distribute the ACE newsletter โ gathering and drafting content, coordinating internal approvals, supporting layout and distribution, and maintaining distribution lists
๐ฑ Work with external social media agencies and internal stakeholders to coordinate content approvals and draft social media copy on ACE and content protection
๐๏ธ Help maintain the ACE global events calendar, tracking speaking engagements and coordinating communications support for conferences, events and industry panels
๐จ Collaborate with MPA Digital Communications colleagues to keep brand consistency and editorial standards across ACE, TPN and content protection channels, including websites and social media
๐ฅ๏ธ Assist in reviewing and editing PowerPoint presentations and other internal and external communications materials

Requirements

๐ฒ A strong understanding of social media platforms, digital communications and current best practices
๐ Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects to a high standard
๐ A proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through
๐ Comfortable working collaboratively with remote international teams across multiple time zones
๐ก๏ธ An interest in intellectual property, content protection, cybersecurity, digital policy or the audiovisual and entertainment sectors (prior experience is a plus)
๐๏ธ Experience with social media content creation and visual asset development (social cards, GIFs, infographics or similar) is desirable
๐ ๏ธ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva and media monitoring platforms is highly desirable
๐ Flexibility to occasionally accommodate meetings across US, Asia-Pacific and EMEA time zones
