Description
With us, you are right in the middle of the outdoors, close to the vibrant city of Rotterdam and you work with national and international groups. You help to ensure our guests have an unforgettable time – while you simultaneously develop your own skills and experience. YOUR ROLE - Reception & Hospitality; You are the first face groups see. You welcome them, guide them through check-in, and you are the main point of contact during their stay. Upon departure, you ensure a smooth check-out. - Info & Activity Point; You help groups get started by handing out game materials, explaining possible activities, camping and how to use the camping fields. - Small maintenance, cleaning jobs and administrative tasks; Together, we ensure the camp site looks top-notch. Remark; Please note flexibility is needed in working times! ** PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE A EU PASSPORT - SADLY WE CANNOT ORGANISE EU-WORK PERMIT **
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
- New appartment for 2 volunteers; you got your own room, kitchen & sanitary are shared
- Food can be bought at supermarkets in walking/ bike distance (1.5 km); Receipts to be kept and will be reimbursed
- Bike available
- Metro Capelsebrug (Rotterdam city transport) on walking distance (1.4 km)
Training during the activity
- On-arrival training by NJi
- Language training through ESC system, local library or "on the job"
- Support on working on youth passport learning goals
- Develop your outdoor and social skills!
Participant profile
You love the outdoors and respect nature 🌿 You enjoy working (indirectly) with youth groups You can work independently and take responsibility You adhere to safety rules and agreements You are flexible in working hours Experience with scouting is a plus (but not a must)
