๐ŸŽฏ Internship Description

The Rachel Carson Center is looking for an Erasmus+ trainee to support the development of visual and digital conceptsfor research-based media and documentary film projects. The traineeship is particularly suited to an MA student or recent graduate in visual communication, graphic design, web design, UX/UI, film/media design, documentary film, digital humanities, or a related field.

You'll help develop design concepts for web-based presentation, film-related visual materials, and title design โ€” thinking creatively about how environmental research, documentary film, and visual anthropology can be communicated through typography, layout, and digital interfaces.

๐ŸŽฌ Developing visual concepts for a research/documentary film project

๐ŸŒ Supporting web design and layout ideas for project presentation

๐Ÿ“ Designing title cards, credits, visual references, and typographic treatments

๐ŸŽž๏ธ Helping prepare materials for film festivals, academic presentations, and project websites


๐Ÿ“Œ Requirements

โœ… Strong interest in visual storytelling, documentary film, environmental issues, or research-based artistic work

โœ… Skills in web design, graphic design, typography, or film title design

โœ… Experience with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve

โœ… Ability to work independently and develop visual ideas from conceptual material

โœ… Good English communication skills

โœ… Eligibility for an Erasmus+ traineeship through your home university

Knowledge of environmental humanities, anthropology, documentary film, or artistic research is welcome but not required. More important is a strong visual sensibility, curiosity, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and compelling visual forms.
