Partnership-building Activity

25 June - 1 July 2026 | Barcelona, Spain

❗️What Is This Training About?

Interference is a partnership-building activity using radio for social inclusion. Youth workers share practices, co-create podcasts, and connect community media across Europe, fostering collaboration, synergies, and future joint projects.

ℹ️ Description About The Opportunity

Interference emerges from a shared interest in strengthening the work carried out by community radios managed by associations, as well as learning from similar initiatives in different contexts.

On the one hand, the project aims to explore the potential of radio as a tool for social inclusion. On the other, it seeks to understand and develop innovative methodologies that foster active involvement of local communities.

This contact-making seminar will bring together motivated youth workers with experience in radio practice, who are interested in improving their daily work and becoming part of a network of professionals sharing a passion for community media.

During the seminar, participants will engage in discussions on social inclusion and community work, exchange best practices and innovative tools, and co-create podcasts. The programme will also include visits to community radio stations in Barcelona and to Ràdio La Víbria in Terrassa. Additionally, a booklet compiling information about all participating organisations will be produced.

Organiser:

La Víbria Intercultural (Youth NGO)

La Víbria Intercultural is a non-profit association dedicated to international mobility for young people . Founded in 2003 in Terrassa, The entity was created with the aim of promoting interculturality, volunteering (local and international), and active citizenship, as well as exporting Catalan culture worldwide. With this purpose, on the one hand we host international projects in our country and, on the other, we offer the opportunity to young people from the territory to carry out experiences abroad. All this, under the framework of European mobility programs, which allow for both short and long-term experiences.

In addition, we manage Radio Víbria, a project inspired by historic pirate radios and contemporary community radios. It was created to serve as a platform for underrepresented voices, offering a space for social participation and activism, while promoting intercultural values and equality in diversity.
