DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY SCHOOL IN ZLOTORIA is looking for 1-2 volunteers to support their educational approach in rural area. The school employs 17 teachers and serves 80 students ranging from ages 3 to 14. We want to actively promote the value of solidarity among students from rural areas, struggling with communicative and social exclusion and a conservative mentality, often coming from poor families. Our school is a place where tolerance and support are priorities, which is why we employ specialists to help children and young people with various challenges. Volunteers bring with them a variety of skills and perspectives that can enrich our organization and help us better organize our goals. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The coordinating organization rents rooms in the city of Bialystok. Here lives the volunteer together with other volunteers or with students (in dormitory), has own room and common bath and kitchen. The volunteer gets a monthly ticket for city travel. The coordinating organization pays also the travel expenses connected with the on-arrival training and the mid-term meeting on the base of original tickets. The volunteer gets from the coordinating organization money for food and pocket money.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers will participate in training courses provided by the Polish National Agency (On-arrival training and midterm training).

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

We are looking for volunteers ready to collaborate with children in age between 7-15 years old. Someone who is passionate about working with kids, helping them and developing their skills. School has very good conditions - spacious rooms, a beautiful gymnasium room with stands, a common room and modern playgrounds and sports fields, so it’s important to use it all!
