TEAM THE TEAMS 2026: A GENTLE STEP INTO VOLUNTEERING!

STOWARZYSZENIE AKWEDUKT
Kwidzyn, Poland
DESCRIPTION
Creative Collaboration Space - don't be shy, give it a try! Are you thinking about volunteering but feel stressed or afraid? Don't worry! We created a low-stress, safe project perfect for your first time abroad. Join us in Kwidzyn (13.06 - 05.07.2026) for a creative team volunteering experience! What will we do? 🌿 Plant & chill: Create a community garden, plant flowers, and do outdoor DIY 🎨 Eco, art and socially engaged workshops: upcycling and creative crafts, support local youth center, support summer camps with kids 🐾 Animal care: visit the local mini-zoo and walk shelter dogs 🍕 Intercultural fun: creating International Food Day Event, participating in Kupała Night Festival, and a trip to Gdańsk! There is no high-pressure or heavy physical work. We offer a supportive team, space for testing out ideas, and a step-by-step introduction. You don't need super skills or fluent English - just an open heart and a willingness to try new things at your own pace!
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
You will be accommodated in a shared flat (triple rooms) with other volunteers. Flats are fully equipped (student standard, bills covered). We required EHIC health insurance. You'll receive pocket money and a food allowance to cook together or buy your own meals (pro-rata based on 126€ + 540 PLN). Travel costs to and from Kwidzyn will be reimbursed according to the EU distance calculator. We will help you with all travel logistics step-by-step so you don't have to stress! TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
You will learn through practice in a low-stress environment! We will provide training on basic gardening, eco-art techniques (upcycling), creating workshops, and intercultural communication. The first days are dedicated to team-building, a city scavenger hunt, and getting to know each other at a slow pace. Our team will support you every day. At the end of the project, you will receive a Youthpass certificate confirming your new skills, increased self-confidence, and teamwork abilities.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
This project is created especially for young people (18-30 years old) who are looking for a safe, low-stress environment for their first volunteering experience abroad. It is a perfect fit for those with fewer opportunities who might feel hesitant or lack confidence. Due to short term of volunteering - we can host only EU citizens/ non-visa participants! We are looking for volunteers who are: 🌱 Nature & animal lovers: You enjoy spending time outdoors, like simple gardening tasks, and have a soft spot for animals (ready to walk shelter dogs and visit the mini-zoo!). 🎨 Creative & socially engaged: You like DIY, upcycling, and are happy to spend time with kids and local youth (supporting summer camps and our youth center). You don't need to be an expert - just be willing to test out your ideas! 🌍 Open-minded team players: You are curious about other cultures, ready to share your own traditions (like cooking for the International Food Day!), and enjoy working in a group. 💬 Ready to learn at their own pace: You DO NOT need fluent English! Basic conversational English (A2) is perfectly fine. We value your open heart, motivation, and willingness to step out of your comfort zone without any heavy pressure or strict expectations.
