DESCRIPTION
The volunteers will develop:
- Easter Camps for children between 6 and 12 years old;
- Promote informal lectures on European mobility and the experience in the ESC;
- Develop Eurodesk activities such as Time to Move;
- Collaborate in the organization of cultural activities that are part of the annual plan of JFE events and commemorations of thematic days;
- Collaborate with the coordinators of environment management in monitoring the rivers and local biodiversity;
- Collaborate in the organization of campaigns, conferences and lectures about nature conservation, sustainable development, efficient use of resources and “Street without butts”;
- Development of personal projects for volunteers, at JFE and the Ermesinde community;
- Develop sport activities in the local community;
- Support in the activities of the Municipality of Valongo, Social Centre of Ermesinde, People's House and ADICE;
- Produce graphic material.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Volunteers will be hosted in JFE facilities: furnished single-storey dwelling with outdoor space, single or shared room, shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. JFE will make available a monthly 180 € of pocket money + 150 € for food. The confection will be the responsibility of the same, safeguarding the questions related to the specific food / health needs. During the trip to the activities, the young person can do it on foot, because it is short routes, or use public transport, and JFE will proceed to the purchase of the monthly transport tickets.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The volunteer will receive via email an Lingustic Support license so that he can take an initial assessment of the Portuguese Language and will have a set of tools available on the same platform to improve his knowledge, and at the end of the project he will carry out a new test. The volunteers will attend 30 hours of Portuguese classes, where they will also have a training on customs, traditions, history and culture of Portugal to promote their inclusion in the community.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
For this volunteer project we intend to involve 3 young people, coming from Spain and Italy, between 18 and 30 years of age and of both sexes. They are intended to be young people as less opportunities, that is social difficulties, economic and/or geographical and who have a profile that is characteristic and adaptable to the tasks proposed. They should be dynamic and demonstrate a capacity for autonomy and a taste for teamwork, presenting characteristics of communicative, available, flexible and creative nature. The volunteers should be motivated to learn Portuguese language.
