BEHIND THE SCENES: EXPLORING THE MAGIC OF PERFORMING ARTS-ZODIAK CIRCUS-SZCZECIN/POLAND

STOWARZYSZENIE "EUROPA IUVENIS"
Fundacja Antygrawitacja
Szczecin, Poland
DESCRIPTION
Don't you like being bored? If your answer is a resounding "NO," we have an offer that will turn your daily routine into an extraordinary adventure. Fundacja Antygrawitacja is a place where circus, theater, and movement meet to create a space full of inspiration. We work with children and youth, helping them find themselves through creative expression. We are looking for two passionate individuals to join our team for one of three exciting paths. You could be our Social Media Hero, where reels, photography, graphic design, and content creation are your element. You might prefer being a Circus Tutor Assistant, supporting young artists, helping run workshops, and participating in festivals. Or perhaps you would thrive as our Stage Technical Staff, where working with stage lights, scenography, and tools like hammers and screwdrivers is the exact challenge you are looking for. You don't need to be an expert, as we value passion and a willingness to learn above all else. Come join us!
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
We take care of your comfort so you can focus on your personal development. As part of the project, we provide a spot in a student house or a shared apartment. You will receive pocket money and a food allowance to cover your living costs. We also provide a public transport card and cover the full reimbursement of travel costs (up to the EU limit) to to and from the project. You will work a maximum of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Additionally, you will receive full guidance from our project coordinator and mentor plus health insurance from Henner.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
During the project you will take part in training courses organized by the National Agency where you will meet volunteers from all over Poland. Besides that you will receive regular trainings in our NGO.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We are looking for people with a "spark" and a genuine passion for taking action. Our project is defined by a significant amount of freedom, which means we highly value independence and the ability to organize your own schedule effectively. We are not looking for someone who waits for instructions at every turn; rather, we are looking for proactive partners who can stay self-motivated. Of course, you will never be left alone—you will always have the full, structured support of our mentor and coordinator to guide you whenever needed. While you do not need years of professional experience, we do require a proactive attitude, a knack for solving problems, and an eagerness to take on new challenges within a creative environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be shaped by your specific interests and the path you choose to follow. If you opt for the media variant, your mission will be to boost the Foundation's digital presence by photographing our daily activities, filming engaging reels, and curating content for our social media channels. If you prefer the circus variant, you will focus on supporting our instructors during circus workshops for children. Please note that these classes are primarily conducted in Polish, but you do not need to speak the language fluently; we simply ask for your openness and a willingness to learn a few basic phrases to help you build meaningful connections with the kids. Furthermore, if you are tech-savvy, your contribution will be invaluable during our performances, where you will handle stage lighting, sound setups, and assist in creating or repairing stage scenery. A crucial aspect of our offer is providing space for your personal growth. We understand that volunteering is not just about what you do for the organization, but also what you gain for yourself. Therefore, we actively encourage you to pursue your own training, practice your skills, and realize your own artistic ideas. Regardless of the path you select, your work will be practical, creative, and full of opportunities that will allow you to gain unique experience in working with youth, organizing artistic events, and building your professional portfolio within the NGO sector.
