🏠 Accommodation, Food, and Financial Support

Living in Berlin as an ESC volunteer is an adventure, and Lernlabor provides the financial framework to make it possible. 🥙💶🏠

• Housing: The project provides funding to cover accommodation costs. While the organization will assist in the search, volunteers are expected to take a proactive role in finding their own living space in Berlin. 🏠🌍
• Allowances: Monthly pocket money and a food allowance will be provided directly to the volunteers to cover their daily needs. 💰💶
• International Travel: Travel costs to Berlin and back home at the end of the project are reimbursed based on the official ESC distance bands. ✈️🌍
• Local Transport: Arrangements will be made to ensure volunteers can commute efficiently to the office in Oberlandstrasse. 🚌🎫

🎓 Training and Professional Mentorship

Your personal and professional growth is a top priority throughout your 52-week stay in Germany. 💡📈

Volunteers will attend two mandatory training sessions organized by the German National Agency (Jugend für Europa): the On-arrival training and the Mid-term evaluation. Furthermore, Lernlabor offers internal mentorship and additional opportunities to participate in international training courses. You will develop hard skills in project management and digital media, as well as soft skills in intercultural communication and public speaking. 🇩🇪🎓✨

👤 Ideal Participant Profile

We are looking for proactive individuals who are eager to learn and ready to contribute to a multicultural team! 🌟🤝

• Age: 18 - 30 years old.
• Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English or German.
• Motivation: A strong interest in non-formal education, youth work, and international projects.
• Desired Skills: A driving license (Class B) is preferred but not essential. Candidates for the digital role should have an eye for storytelling. 🚗📸
