YAMsession 2026 is calling for showcase performances to be presented at the annual international young audiences music event in Helsingør, Denmark. Selected artists perform a 30-minute showcase in front of an international professional audience, gain exposure to global booking opportunities, attend the full YAMsession programme for free, and have all local expenses covered. Travel is partially reimbursed at €100 per artist. Open to solo artists and groups of up to 5 performers, aged 18 and above, with advanced or professional-level skills. A YAMsession showcase puts your production in front of decision-makers from across this entire global network.
What Does a Showcase Include?
⏱️Each showcase is exactly 30 minutes in duration — no more, no less
👥A maximum of 5 artists or performers per production
🏫The production must be adaptable to tour both in school settings and in traditional performance venues — versatility is key
📄A technical rider and stage plan must be submitted at the time of application
🎟️All showcasing productions receive free participation in the full YAMsession event programme — including the Producers Forum, presentations, and YAMawards Ceremony
Benefits & Costs
🏠All local expenses on the day of the performance are fully covered — accommodation and meals provided for all performing artists
✈️Travel to Helsingør is partially reimbursed as a lump sum of €100 per artist — full travel costs are the responsibility of the artists; artists are encouraged to contact their local JMI member organisations or government agencies for additional travel support
🎟️Free access to the entire YAMsession event for all members of the showcasing production
