This ESC volunteering opportunity in Slovakia offers volunteers the chance to work with a youth-focused Catholic community organization supporting young people through education, creativity, and community activities in Trstená.

The hosting organization, VIAC – Institute for Youth Support and Development, works with teenagers and young people by organizing youth programs, educational initiatives, and creative activities. Volunteers will assist in youth work while also contributing to communication, media creation, and community engagement.

🌍 About the Project

VIAC is a Christian NGO dedicated to supporting young people’s development through education, values-based learning, and community activities. Volunteers will work with youth workers to help organize programs for teenagers while also supporting the organization’s communication activities.

The project offers an opportunity to experience community life in northern Slovakia, contribute to youth development initiatives, and gain experience in youth work, media production, and non-formal education.

🎯 Volunteer Tasks

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Supporting youth activities and educational programs for teenagers

🎨 Assisting with creative workshops and cultural activities

📢 Creating visual materials such as posters, graphics, and videos

🤝 Participating in community events and youth meetings

💡 Supporting the development of new youth initiatives and ideas

🌍 Promoting intercultural exchange and learning

🏠 Accommodation, Food and Financial Support

🏡 Accommodation in a shared apartment in the center of Trstená or Tvrdošín

🍽 Volunteers receive food allowance and pocket money

🥗 Lunch may be provided by the organization or arranged individually

✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance band rules

📚 Training and Learning Opportunities

🎓 Onboarding training organized by the host organization

🤝 On-arrival and mid-term training provided by the National Agency
