🌍 About the Project
This ESC Team Volunteering project takes place in Jelenia Góra, Poland 🇵🇱 and supports grassroots initiatives focused on solidarity, inclusion and ecological responsibility.
The project combines social engagement, teamwork and practical community action inspired by Food Not Bombs principles. It is a short-term activity and participants who require a visa cannot be accepted.
🤝 What You Will Do
🥗 Cook vegan meals twice a week for people experiencing homelessness (preparation, serving, cleaning)
👧 Design and lead workshops for children from orphanages (send your own activity proposal by e-mail)
👵 Organise integration activities with elderly residents of care homes
🌳 Take part in community park clean-ups and care for public green spaces
♿ Gain basic experience and training in working with people with disabilities
🤝 Work closely as a team in social and physical activities

🏠 Accommodation & Living Conditions
🏡 Accommodation in KANS student dormitory in Jelenia Góra
🛏️ Shared rooms (2 people per room) with private bathroom
🍳 Shared kitchen on each floor for collective cooking
💪 Common areas and small exercise room available
🌱 Project promotes plant-based nutrition and shared responsibility for common spaces
🎓 Training and Reflection
🤝 Team-building sessions at the beginning (trust, communication, cooperation)
💬 Regular reflection meetings to evaluate and adjust activities
🌍 Exchange with long-term volunteers to share experience and practice
👤 Participant Profile
🎂 18–30 years old
🌱 Preferably vegetarian or vegan
💛 Open to working with children from orphanages, elderly residents and people experiencing homelessness
🍲 Comfortable cooking vegan meals for larger groups
🧹 Willing to take part in physical tasks and maintain shared spaces
🤝 Responsible, empathetic and team-oriented
