🌍 About the Project
This ESC Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Forlì, Italy 🇮🇹, in “Ca’ Rossa” (Red House), a residential home where around 12 adults aged 18–65 live with mild mental illness and/or disabilities. The environment focuses on rehabilitation, autonomy, personal independence, and social participation through daily-life support, hobbies, and creative activities.
🤝 What You Will Do
💛 Support residents in daily routines linked to autonomy and independent living
🎨 Join recreational activities and creative workshops
🧩 Encourage hobbies, personal skills, and social interaction
🌍 Contribute to an inclusive, respectful community life with a supportive team
⏰ Working Conditions
🕒 32–35 hours per week
📆 Possible schedule from Monday to Sunday
🛌 2 days off per week
🏖️ 2 holiday days per month to be agreed with the supervisor
🏠 Accommodation, Food and Local Transport
🛏️ Single room in a shared flat with other ESC volunteers
🏡 Apartment includes 4 single rooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, and a living room
🚲 A bicycle is provided so you can move freely in the city
🎓 Training and Learning Opportunities
📘 Learn how to support people with disabilities and work effectively in a team
🇮🇹 Italian language course to improve or learn the language
🌍 Additional trainings on multiculturalism, volunteering, and related topics
👥 Opportunity to connect with other volunteers hosted in the same area
