🧭 About the Volunteering Opportunity
Group Volunteers – Day Camps for Kids is a European Solidarity Corps volunteering teams project hosted by Jauniešu organizācija “Ligzda” in Ēvele, Latvia. The project brings together young volunteers to work with children and youngsters through day camps and outdoor activities, combining non-formal learning, creativity, sport, and nature-based experiences. Volunteers will live and work together in a rural setting and actively contribute to planning, delivering, and evaluating camp programmes.

🎯 Main Aim
To support children and young people through inclusive, creative, and outdoor-based day camps while strengthening volunteers’ youth leadership, teamwork, and non-formal education skills.

🧩 Volunteer Tasks and Activities
🏕️ Support and facilitate day camps for children and youngsters aged 7–14
🌲 Organise outdoor activities including camping, tracking, and nature games
🎨 Lead workshops in art, music, sport, digital activities, and environmental topics
🧠 Co-create camp programmes together with the volunteer team
🤝 Take part in preparation meetings, group planning, and final evaluation
🌍 Learn about Latvian culture and rural community life

🏠 Accommodation and Daily Support
🏫 Accommodation at Ēveles skola in shared rooms (3–4 persons)
🍽️ Food allowance 6 EUR per day with access to a school kitchen
💶 Pocket money 5 EUR per day (approximately 250 EUR for the full period)
✈️ Travel costs covered according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator
