This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Bodrogolaszi, Hungary ๐ญ๐บ, focusing on environmental education, nature conservation, and sustainable community life in north-eastern Hungary. Volunteers will actively contribute to educational, outdoor, and community-based activities connected to environmental protection and youth learning.
๐ฏ Volunteering Activities
Volunteers will be involved in a wide range of practical and educational activities, including:
๐ฟ Assisting in nature conservation exhibitions as an animator and activity supporter
๐ Supporting environmental education classes for children and young people
๐ธ Preparing photo documentation for educational and nature-based activities
๐ถ Maintaining educational trails and supporting minor renovation works
๐ฃ Supervising and handing over hiking equipment such as kayaks, canoes, and bicycles
๐๏ธ Participating in events and supporting summer camps
๐ฑ Gardening and outdoor maintenance activities
๐ค Taking part in the daily community life of Bodrogolaszi
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Accommodation in a family house in Bodrogolaszi, near the River Bodrog
๐๏ธ Separate bedroom for each volunteer
๐ฝ๏ธ Shared kitchen and bathroom with internet access
๐ Monthly food allowance provided (grocery store in the village, restaurant 5 km away)
๐ฒ Bicycles provided for local transport
๐ Green travel encouraged for arrival and departure
๐ Train or organisation car recommended for long-distance travel

๐ Aged 18โ30
๐ฑ Interested or involved in nature protection and environmental issues
๐ช Comfortable with light physical and outdoor work
๐ง Enjoys working with children and young people
๐ค Able to work well in a team and community setting
๐ Category B driving licence and knowledge of Hungarian are an advantage
