This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Lรฅngasjรถ, Sweden ๐ธ๐ช and focuses on sustainable living, regenerative practices, and responsible community-based entrepreneurship. Volunteers engage in hands-on sustainability learning within a rural setting where environmental, social, and economic dimensions are interconnected, aligned with EU values of democracy, inclusion, and solidarity.
๐ฏ Volunteering Activities
Activities are based on on-the-job learning across five key pillars:
๐ฟ Regenerative Hospitality โ Supporting daily operations within a regenerative hospitality setting
๐ณ Agroforestry โ Contributing to land-based and nature-positive practices
๐ฅ Vegetarian & Vegan Cooking โ Participating in sustainable food preparation and kitchen routines
๐ง Farm Maintenance & Sustainable Forestry โ Assisting with maintenance tasks and forest stewardship
๐ค Group-Led Learning โ Off-the-job activities within the volunteer group, with facilitated reflection, intercultural exchange, and personal growth
๐ฏ Contributions directly support SDGs 4, 12, 13, and 15, while building sustainability skills and leadership capacity
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Housing in an on-site volunteer building or a nearby village house
๐ฒ Bicycle and helmet provided (5-minute bike ride or 15-minute walk)
๐๏ธ Private bedrooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms
๐ Nearest train station: Emmaboda (12 km)
๐ Company car available for transfers to the station for weekends or holidays
๐ฅฆ Vegetarian/vegan meals served on-site or prepared by volunteers
๐ Training & Learning Opportunities
๐ ๏ธ Workshops and on-the-job training across the five sustainability pillars
๐ Mentoring by an external independent mentor
๐ Excursions to other local sustainable initiatives
๐ซ Trainings organised and delivered by MUCF
๐จ Cultural visits such as art exhibitions, a local glass factory, and historical sites

๐ EU citizens aged 18โ29
๐ฑ Interest in regenerative hospitality, agroforestry, sustainable food, farm maintenance, or forestry
๐ค Ready for community living and teamwork with an international group
๐ Open to participants with fewer opportunities (social, cultural, economic, educational barriers)
